        Nico Stojan

        Nico Stojan is a Berliner, born and raised, and very proud of his roots.
        He spent his informative years growing up and exploring a new and unified Berlin in the time just after The Wall
        came down.

        He is classically trained and learnt to play the clarinet and saxophone at a young age. Very soon he became
        interested in turntables, and by the age of 16 he had honed his mixing skills. More important, was his approach
        to the turntables. He was as committed with these as with any instrument, and quickly made a name for himself
        as a skilled turntabilist.

        In the early stages of his career his sound was heavily influenced by his love of Jazz, Hip Hop, Soul and Funk.
        Around this time Nico also started producing music with a MPC60 making Hip Hop beats.
        As a producer he has managed to find the perfect harmony between analog & digital, and has brought all of his
        influences together to create his own sound and groove.

        Things changed for Nico when he became a resident at the infamous Bar25. Here he morphed his sound into
        more electronic grooves and incorporated sounds from different genres creating colourful and melodic sets.
        2015 saw him release his debut album ‘Twisted Manners’ – described as ‘a piece of work that is both textured in
        flavour and rich in motive, Nico tells stories in sound that are both electronic in nature and human in touch.’
        In 2016 he started the label Ouïe (French for hearing) with long-term friend and producing partner Acid Pauli.
        This was created as a platform for both to release their own unique sounds and also showcase their friend’s
        musical talents.

        Nico is just as likely to be found playing epic sunrise sets at Burning Man – where another one of his projects
        was born with Holmar, playing under their moniker of ‘Lovestruckk’, as he is hypnotising the white isle of Ibiza
        or indeed producing mesmerising tracks over a cup of green tea in his Berlin studio.
        Looking forward, expect to see Nico everywhere around the world, exploring creative ways to showcase his
        sounds and vision of music, whilst always promoting sustainability and eco-friendly vibes.
